I’ve Never Fit Into Just One Box. So I Built My Own Lane

Rooted in Real Experience

I am an educator, business strategist, executive coach, and consultant guided by a simple but powerful question: how do we unlock human potential in a world that never stops changing? My path has taken me from technical beginnings in data and analytics, to senior leadership at two Fortune 100 companies, and now to teaching at the University of Illinois. Along the way, I discovered that what energizes me most is helping people grow. I have built a practice in coaching leaders and teams who want more than incremental progress. They want transformation. I bring together lessons from business, academia, and lived experience to help people get unstuck, see themselves more clearly, and act with greater purpose.

Shaped by What Matters

I believe that reflection is the gateway to results. Too often, leaders and organizations race toward action without pausing to ask the deeper questions: What truly matters? What patterns are holding us back? Where do we need courage to move forward? My philosophy blends proven frameworks with a human-centered approach. I have learned that real change does not happen when people are told what to do. It happens when they uncover their own clarity and conviction. I create spaces where curiosity, self-awareness, and experimentation are not just encouraged but required. This philosophy shapes how I teach, coach, and consult. It is how I help individuals and organizations turn insight into sustainable action.

Guided by Human Insight

For much of my career, I believed progress was about having the right answers. Over time, I learned it is more about asking the right questions. Real progress begins when people feel safe enough to explore, honest enough to reflect, and brave enough to change.

I have seen how data can guide decisions, but people give those decisions meaning. I have also learned that innovation has less to do with technology and more to do with trust. Growth rarely happens in straight lines. It unfolds through trial, curiosity, and connection.

There were seasons in my life when I worked too hard to prove my worth and others when I had to learn to pause and listen. Each experience taught me that leadership is not about being the loudest voice in the room but about creating space for others to rise.

The deeper I go into my work, the more I understand that people are the heart of every story of progress. When we anchor what we do in purpose, learning becomes joy, and growth becomes a way of life.

Grounded in Connection and Joy

Outside of work, I chase the moments that make life feel alive. I find joy in the rhythm of a good song, the warmth of a shared meal, and the laughter that lingers long after the plates are cleared.

Sports bring out both the competitor and the dreamer in me. I still cheer loudly for my UConn Huskies, not just because of the game but because of what it represents: loyalty, resilience, and heart. Music grounds me when life moves too fast. Jazz, 90s R&B, and house music help me find balance, while drum and bass gives me energy and flow when I need to reset.

Wine has become one of my favorite teachers. Each bottle holds a story about patience, soil, and craft. It reminds me that growth takes time and that complexity can be beautiful. Travel and food keep me curious. I feel most myself when exploring somewhere new, trying something unfamiliar, or simply being present with the people I love.

These are the things that fill me up so I can show up fully for others.

Where Purpose Meets Impact

Whether in the classroom, the boardroom, or over a shared meal, my purpose is the same: to help people unlock what is already within them. Cultivating potential is about more than performance. It is about reflection, connection, and courage that turn possibility into progress and growth into lasting impact.
